49 years ago, the first ever Earth Day was implemented in a global effort to protect the environment. At the time, only around 3.5 billion people populated the earth. Today, more than 7 billion do! unfortunately, this increase in population has also lead to an increase in gas emissions as well. It’s time to be honest with ourselves and begin to realize that our world is in real danger. Each day, the earth suffers a little more from our careless ways and neglect toward the planet.
Did you know that solar panels work even in winter weather? Believe it or not, solar panels do better than you might think in the cold. Low temperatures won’t stop the panels converting available sunlight to power. The one Achilles heel for solar panels is cloudy weather. Although the system can still produce 10 – 25% of their typical output, the amount of production is less than during summer months of direct sunlight. Most solar panel systems are installed at an angle. This is by design so that snow will easily slide off on its own.
